This Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel, completed in 2022, features five DuraSound model Won-Door installations across the Chapel and Teaching Areas. A large bi-parting 15m wide x 3.6m tall DuraSound provides acoustic separation between the Chapel and Cultural Hall, while four single-parting 6m wide x 2.8m tall partitions create flexible classroom spaces throughout the Teaching Areas.
These partitions not only define spaces visually but significantly improve acoustics by minimising sound transmission between rooms—essential in a building hosting multiple activities at once. This flexibility allows the space to adapt seamlessly for teaching, community events, and large gatherings.
Won-Door Australia has supplied accordion folding partitions to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since 1987, delivering thousands of installations across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. Each solution is tailored to meet specific project requirements, helping create functional, flexible environments that enhance the worship experience.
Overall, the installation of these five DuraSound partitions has transformed the chapel into a versatile, welcoming space—balancing acoustic performance, adaptability, and a calm, worship-focused atmosphere.
